Exam Controller at the Office of the Controller of the Examination, Sanothimi, Krishna Prasad Kapri, urged students, guardians, teachers, representatives of political parties and all concerned bodies to make the examinations peaceful and disciplined.
A total of 615,553 students will appear in this year's examination. Of them, 452,889 students are taking exam under regular category while 159,417 are from exempted category, added Kapri.
Similarly, 3,225 students towards technical category are sitting in the examination. The highest number of students is sitting from Kathmandu and the lowest from Manang. The number of the students is 35,000 and 69 respectively.
A total of 1443 exam centres have been fixed for this year's SLC examination. An arrangement has been made to distribute identity cards to students on the last day of the exam to reduce mistakes while publishing the results.
The identity card will incorporate student's name, surname, date of birth and subjects appeared. Candidates can file application at the District Education Office within 15 days if there is any mistake in the identity card.
This year's examination is taking place 13 days later than compared to previous year due to the Madhes-agitation.
